Story: The movie is set in a distant future. There has been a great war which has destroyed most of the world. Everything except half of Europe (United Federation of Britain, UFB) and Australia (the Colony) is uninhabitable. UFB is connected to the Colony by a huge elevator called "the Fall" that goes straight through Earth.

Douglas Quaid (Farrell) is a industry worker who lives in the Colony and works in UFB. That means that he takes "the Fall" to go to work on the other side of the world every day. Anyway, Dough is starting to get tired of doing just the same all the time. He then decides that he will try "Rekall". "Rekall" is a place where they can put memories in your head. You can experience things you always dreamed of and maybe didn't afford. But when Dough is there something unexpected happens. The question is; is it for real or just Rekall?
